Dear Advisory Committee Members:

                Hi, my name is Monica Alessio. I became aware and interested in Senior Project through the previous seniors and thought  it would be a challenging but fun class to take. The topic I chose to work on was makeup and how to become a successful makeup artist. Since I was a young girl I had an interest in makeup, so I decided to learn more about it and create a product having to do with it. For the project, I’m going to be doing makeup on a model.

                Through Senior Project I will be researching the proper way to apply makeup on the face. Also, I will be researching what type of makeup goes on certain parts on the face and any additional background information I need to complete this task. All these things I intend to research are ways to become a successful makeup artist. Some tools I would need are my mentor, the internet, proper tools, and of course makeup.

                I chose makeup to research because a lot of women wear it but often misuse it. Some may even not wear makeup because they don’t know how to put it on or feel like it doesn’t make them look good. Although many women don’t need make up, doing this project would give women, and me, more insight about makeup, what we are putting on our face, what kind of makeup to use on certain places on our face, and proper application.

                For this project I have no intentions of plagiarizing. Plagiarizing is taking someone else’s work and making it my own. The consequences of this illegal act would be being sued by the person you stole from, jail time, and/or fines.
