College Essay

Ever since I entered high school my parents have always preached about getting good grades and finding a good college that I would be happy attending. My mom graduated from The Ohio State University with a master’s degree and then went back to several different colleges to continue her education. My dad didn’t go to college until later in life and only went for two years at Columbus state. My parents have had different college experiences, but both constantly talk about how important a college degree is in life and always push me to do my best in high school. Now that it’s my senior year I’ve been narrowing down my college choices and decided to go to the University of Cincinnati. I’ve always been a strong minded and aspiring person who wants nothing but the best for myself. Because of this, I never let myself fail any subject in school. I always did my best even if the subjects were at times difficult for me. I did tutoring, extra credit, and anything that would help me do well. I see how my dad works long shifts and never takes days off and think I never want to hard to live a comfortable life. Of course I’m going to have to work harder in the future than I do now, but I don’t want to make poor choices and not get a college degree.
